a bad start to XPages, I cannot even use the D8L55 Ibm course

I downloaded the IBM course D8L55 from the Lotus Greeenhouse to start with Xages but I got stuck at exercise #2 when I was requested to explore the supplied discussion8.nsf database.
Any time I try to edit e doc I get an "Unexpected runtime error" on page topicThread and control ID buttonDelete  (I was not deleting anything).
I am on Windows Vista and IE 8, my collegue checked on Mac with Safari and Firefox getting the same error.

I am sorry if this issue is already covered in this forum but I searched  for  "topicThread.xsp" end got a "Unexpected runtime error" from this site too.

Any help, please?

Howard posted a link to a TLCC course and those courses are HIGHLY recommended for XPages learning.

In addition to that there's lots of info at xpages.info.  There is also videos available at xpages.tv

Thank you both for your advices.
Unfortunately I cannot load the beginner course nor I can register at TLCC.  I get  "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" in both cases.
It seems there is something wrong between Xpages and me.

The TLCC site works on IE8 for me
What exact url are you getting the error on at the TLCC site? What is the error? Did you try using a different computer or using a computer at home (assuming you got the error while at work)? Howard

do the vidoes work on xpages.tv?  They should but you might need flash installed depending on your version of IE.

If not the videos can be downloaded directly from their original posts on notesin9.com.  Many videos are also available on youtube but I stopped posting new ones there a couple months ago.

Videos don't work, I have flash player installed on IE 8.
Videos downloaded from notes9 are smoothly reproduced using VLC player (that is our standard player)
